$Vov = Vg-Vt$
When we increase the gate voltage the electric potential $\Psi_{s}$ grows linearly until $Vg=Vth$, then it grows logarithmically and the surface is pinned. At $Vg=Vth$, the inversion charge $Qi$ begins to increase linearly.
