Nervous systems
Central nervous system CNS
Made up of the brain and spinal cord

Peripheral nervous system PNS

Divided into two main parts:
- Autonomic nervous system (ANS): Controls involuntary bodily functions and regulates glands.
- Somatic nervous system (SNS): Controls muscle movement and relays information from ears, eyes and skin to the central nervous system
Enteric nervous system
Quasi autonomous part of the nervous system and includes a number of neural circuits that control motor functions, local blood flow, mucosal transport and secretions, and modulates immune and endocrine functions
